Four people in northeast South Dakota arrested on conspiracy to distribute fentanyl charges

Four people in northeast South Dakota have been arrested on conspiracy to distribute fentanyl charges. According to the US Attorney for South Dakota, 32-year-old Jevon McLeod, 24-year-old Tiarah Grace Bissonette, both of Sisseton and 57-year-old Daren Lee Basche and 22-year-old Trey Byron Petrich both of Watertown were indicted by a federal grand jury earlier this month. The four have been alleged to knowingly and intentionally conspiring to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing fentanyl. Court documents say the conspiracy lasted as recently as July 11^th. They face a maximum penalty of up to 40 years in prison and a $5 million fine.
