South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has announced plans to begin holding town halls across the state now that the 2024 legislative session is behind us. Governor Noem will start the town halls Wednesday in Mitchell. The town hall will be held at the Mitchell High School Library 92- N capital Street it Mitchell and include a bill signing in SB127 and HB 1022. SB 127 establishes a minimum teacher salary and revises the requirements pertaining to average teacher compensation and HB 1022 makes an appropriation so the department of education can continue to provide a professional development in literacy to teachers.
Gov. Noem will also host a town hall in Winner Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. central time at the Winner Country club.
