Gov. Noem claims early dividends being paid from the state’s “Freedom Works Here” national workforce campaign

South Dakota governor Kristi Noem claims her “Freedom Works Here” national workforce recruitment campaign is paying early dividends. According to the Governor’s office, the campaign has already prompted over 1,300 people to submit applications to find career opportunities in South Dakota. The top three states people have inquired from includes California, Texas and Florida. South Dakota currently has the second worst job market shortage in the country, tied with New Hampshire with approximately 40 available workers for every 100 open jobs.
