Gov. Noem requests Board of Regents to investigate reported incidents of “woke culture” at SD campuses

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has sent a letter to the South Dakota Board of Regents, asking them to investigate a series of reports submitted to a tip line recently created aimed at preventing “woke culture” and “liberal ideology” from overtaking South Dakota public universities. The letter was sent Friday. Two calls the governor’s office focused on included one regarding Black Hills State University and the other the University of South Dakota. The board of regents will have their first chance to address the letter sent by Governor Noem’s office this week when they meet June 21st at Dakota State University in Madison.
