Gov. Noem to testify before House Natural Resources Committee next week

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has announced she will testify before the US House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee next Thursday. She will speak in favor of HR3397 which would require the Bureau of Land Management to abandon a proposed rule on the “conservation and landscape health.” The rule as it is written would change the way multiple use and sustain yield mandates are carried out. In a statement about her testimony, Governor Noem claims bureaucrats do not know how to manage land better than those who have been stewarding it for centuries, and blames the Biden administration for pushing further regulations.
