South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has had her office shaken up once again.
First, Governor Noem’s press secretary Amelia Joy has announced she will be leaving Pierre to accept a job with America First Police Institute. She was hired as Governor Noem press secretary back in December of 2022 and began her duties in January of 2023.
Also, Governor Noem has announced Bureau of Human Resources and Administration Commissioner Darrin Seeley has been named the new Chief of Operations in Governor Noem’s office. According to the Dakota Scout, Seeley will serve in a chief of staff role, but will not receive that title. Noem has not had a chief of staff for about a year after former Chief of Staff Mark Miller departed.
