The Brown County Commission at its regular Tuesday meeting received one bid to replace the roof of the Holum Expo Building and the cost is more than double what was expected. According to the RFP process MEGA construction of Aberdeen offered to replace the roof for $658,500. The Commission had set aside $300,000 for a new roof. Brown County Fair Board manager Rachel Kippley was optimistic the commission would approve the new roof because without it, it is likely the county would need a new building in five to 10 years.
