John Wiik announces candidacy for state GOP chair

Big Stone City resident and District 4 senator John Wiik has announced his candidacy to be next GOP state party chair. He made this announcement Monday and touted a number of big endorsements including Governor Kristi Noem,Lt. Governor Larry Rhoden, Attorney General Marty Jacklye, Congressman Dusty Johnson and more. In the release he also pushes for District 31 Representative Mary Fitzgerald to serve as vice-chair. Republicans will pick the next party chair and vice chair on January 14^th.
