A 55-year-old man died Tuesday in a motorcycle crash west of Zell.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family. He was the only occupant.
A 2016 Harley Davidson was westbound on U.S. Highway 212 when the driver drifted off the road and entered the north ditch.
The driver was wearing a helmet, but the investigation indicated that the helmet came off when the driver crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
