The city of Mitchell is considering a $19 million proposed plan to clean up Lake Mitchell which has been battling poor water quality for decades now.  According to the Daily Republic, the Lake Mitchell Advisory committee will propose the plan tonight at the Mitchell City Council meeting.  The goal of the plan will be to get the lakes phosphorus levels back to  a healthy level.  The plan is a two step process of dredging the lake to remove current sediment, then building a structure to prevent phosphorus levels from returning to their current state.
