Voters in the Redfield school district will head to the polls today in order to weigh in on an opt-out and whether is passes or not. An opt-out gives school districts the ability to wave state caps on property taxes in order to raise funds for the school. According to Redfield Superintendent the opt-out benefits the general fund which goes towards school activities, teacher salaries, benefits and more. This does not have to do with the current construction already underway in Redfield. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Redfield Armory, the Frankfurt Community Hall and Zell Saint Parish Hall.
