At least 290 people were killed and 500 injured Easter Sunday in the island nation of Sri  Lanka, located just off the coast of India.  According to reports, the attack was carried out by a domestic militant organization known as the National Thowfeek Jamaath.  The group used seven suicide bombers to attack several churches and luxury hotels on Easter Sunday.  This is the largest act of violence in the country since a civil war ended on the island nation a decade ago, leaving at least 290 people dead with more than 500 injured.
