A statewide tornado drill will be held this morning as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week in South Dakota. A statewide tornado watch will be issued at 10 AM (central time), with a warning scheduled to be issued at 10:15. Tina Titze, director of the South Dakota Office of Emergency Management, says many groups across the state participate in the yearly statewide drill.
She says it is important to know the difference between a severe weather watch and a severe weather warning.
