The Center for Disease control and preventions says gains in healthcare coverage under the affordable care act are starting to decline. The study was released Tuesday and showed uninsured Americans age 45 to 64 jumped 10.3 percent from a year ago. One full percentage point from 2017. That is not the case for younger adults as the uninsured rate stayed consistent at 13.3 percent. Experts don’t find the numbers surprising as the Trump administration has taken steps to undermine the ACA, including supporting a current lawsuit claiming the bill is unconstitutional in its entirety.
