Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper expected to drop out of presidential race

The Associated Press is reporting Democratic Presidential candidate John Hickenlooper will drop out of the primary race Thursday.  Hickenlooper is expected to announce plans to instead run for the US Senate seat from Colorado up for election in 2020.  He served as the governor of Colorado for two terms.  That move is not official, but his campaign has taken steps to transition to that race according to campaign insiders.  The seat held by Republican Cory Gardner is considered one of the most volnurable incumbents in 2020.
