Truck driver arrested in SD for transporting legally produced hemp across the state

The Minnesota Hemp Association is protesting the arrest of a truck driver delivering legally grown hemp from Colorado to a processor in Minnesota.  The driver was pulled over for speeding in Jackson County on I-90.  Hemp is legal in 47 states, but remains illegal in South Dakota.  Transporting hemp across South Dakota is still illegal.  Joe Radinovich of the Minnesota Hemp Association released a statement reminding the public the 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp on a federal level and blamed the state and governor Kristi Noem of costing the businesses involved tens of thousands of dollars.
