A wet weather pattern that’s shown no sign of ending all summer long means there’s a virtual certainty that many area lakes will be close to, or above the full mark, going into winter.
Lake Poinsett in Hamlin County is among them. It’s been several feet above full all summer. Emergency Manager Dave Schaefer says it’s come down some from its high water mark, but there’s still way too much water out there…..
He says there’s no “quick fix” to the problems on Poinsett….
