Just days after losing musician Eddie Money to esophageal cancer, another musician has passed away in Ric Ocasek. Ocasek was the lead singer and frontman to the 80s group “The Cars.” He was 75 years old. According to TMZ, Ocasek’s estranged wife found him unresponsive Saturday around 4:00 p.m. at his New York City townhouse. He was pronounced dead Sunday. The cause of death is currently unknown. Ocasek and the Cars are known for songs such as Just What I needed, My Best Friends Girl, Shake it up and more. The band was indicted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2018.
