The Catholic diocese of Sioux Falls and Rapid City have announced plans to resume public mass after May 15th. According to church officials, parishioners are still not obligated to attend Sunday mass and shouldn't feel guilty about staying home. Each diocese will create separate guidelines for parishes as many vary in size and have different needs. The church will adhere to social distancing during this time. Parishioners are encouraged to wear masks and no sign of peace will be given during this time and those attending should sit at least six feet apart where possible.
