The Aberdeen City Council elected a deputy mayor at its council meeting Monday evening.  After a short process, Councilman Rob Ronayne was elected deputy mayor for one year which runs from July 6th to the council’s first meeting in July 2021.  Ronayne was nominated along with Councilman Alan Johnson.  In the end, the vote was tied with Ronayne, Rux, Remily, and Langer voting for Ronayne and Councilmen Johnson, Reinbold, Rife and mayor Shaunaman voting for Johnson.  A coin flip was then conducted to see who would win and Ronayne came out the winner.
