The body of a missing Pierre man has been recovered from the Missouri River Thursday according to the Stanley County Sheirff’s office. 37-year-old Lee Weber was found around 4:00 p.m. on the Stanley County side of the river between a pair of bridges that cross the Missouri River between Pierre and Fort Pierre. Weber went missing Friday after his 8-year-old son had fallen in the water off a boat and Weber had jumped in after him to save him. A nearby watercraft managed to save the child, but Weber was carried away by the current who was not wearing a life at the time. At least 18 state agencies at one time were looking for Weber’s body.
