The South Dakota Board of Regents decided Wednesday masks will be mandatory in all public spaces at South Dakota’s public universities once students return for the fall semester.  This mask mandate will last for at least the first 30 days and is part of the board’s four-level approach to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  The leveled approach includes face coverings at all levels, but requirements are relaxed as the level moves from four to one.  The protections apply to all students, staff, faculty and campus visitors.
