Actor Wilfred Brimley, best known for roles in hit films such as “Cocoon” and “The Thing” passed away at the age of 85 Saturday.  Brimley died after being hospitalized in St. George Utah according to his manager.  He had been in the ICU and was receiving dialysis treatments.  Brimley’s career included hit movies, but also several television shows including NBC’s “Our House.”  He was also an advocate for diabedic causes, including one time being the face of the American Diabetes Association.
