On-campus COVID-19 testing will be one of the tools available at Northern State University this fall to help slow the spread of the virus.
The testing will be available on an as-needed basis, at no cost to NSU students, through Student Health Services (Student Center 240) in partnership with Avera Health. Testing will be done via Abbott ID-Now machines, thanks to a partnership with the South Dakota Department of Health.
Other precautionary measures Northern is implementing this fall include hand sanitizer dispensers at every building entrance and sanitizing wipes in every classroom. Masks will be required in all public indoor spaces, as mandated by the South Dakota Board of Regents’ Face Covering Protocol, which applies to all students, staff, faculty and visitors.
