Advisor to Governor Kristi Neom Maggie Seidel announced a project planned in 2019 to put a fence around the South Dakota Governor’s mansion will be revived with a new RFP.  The project proposed last year would’ve cost the state $400,000 and it looks like that plan will continue to be used.  According to Seidel, the fence was suggested by Governor Noem’s security team during this highly tense time across the country.  Seidel also claims many volunteers have offered their services free of charge to help construct this fence, which she says will help lower the overall cost.
