A Rapid City man ha been charged in federal court for thretening to shoot President Donald Trump. 29-year-old Lucian Celestine allegedly threatened to climb to the top of Mt. Rushmore and shoot the president over his fourth of July holiday visit. He faces charges of threats against the President and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. The charges he faces could put him in prison up to 10 years. Court documents show Celestine obtained a bolt action rifle, scope and ammunition in late June. He is not allowed to own a fire arm after being committed to the South Dakota Human Services center for mental illness In October of 2019.
