South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has taken to social medai to defend a post she made some say makes light of the COVID-19 situation in the state. The post is a video of her saying her social distancing is hunting and after shooting a rooster calls for “less COVID more hunting.” MSNBC's Rachel Maddow responded to the tweet that South Dakota just set a record for number of people hospitalzed, new cases and overall active cases. Governor Noem responded telling her to stop spreading fear and that only 8 percent of South Dakota's hospital beds are occupied.

Only 8% of South Dakota's hospital beds are occupied by COVID patients. We have and will continue to manage our resources to care for the people who need help.
The people of South Dakota have accomplished this WITHOUT draconian lockdowns. #FactsNotFear https://t.co/VIUPmMPaSm
