A recent poll conducted by South Dakota State University finds state Republicans slightly disprove of both President Donald Trump and Governor Kristi Noem’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. SDSU political science professor Dave Wiltse sent emails to 10,000 registered voters and received about 500 responses. 46 percent of those who responded identified as Republican, 28 percent Democrat and the rest independent. The survey shows 52 percent of respondents opposed President Donald Trump and just over 50 percent disapproved of Governor Noem. President Trump won South Dakota in 2016 60-30.
