North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum announced Friday a number of COVID-19 mitigation efforts which took effect Saturday. The governor announced a mask mandate which took effect Saturday. Masks must be worn inside businesses, indoor public spaces and outside public spaces where social distancing is impossible. The order runs through December 13th and has been implemented as hospitals are overwhelmed in North Dakota. Governor Burgum recently canceled a policy which prevented asymptomatic doctors and nurses from returning to work due to how short staffed hospitals are in North Dakota currently.
