Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has announced Wednesday the state will be shutting down gyms, restaurants and bars and youth sports and activities for the next four week beginning Friday at midnight.  Bars and restaurants will be allowed to stay open for carryout only options.

 

The closures come as state health officials announced 5,102 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday along with 67 more deaths, marking the highest daily number of fatal cases ever recorded in the state.
