South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg broke his silence Monday and spoke to medai about the September 13th accident he was involved in near Highmore where he killed a pedestrian 55-year-old Joe Beaver. Ravnsborg said some things which have come out about the case are not accurate. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has said Ravnsborg was “distracted” at the time of the accident, but would not say what that distraction was. Ravnsborg's fate is in the hands of deputy Hyde County State's Attorney Emily Sovell. Ravnsborg also said he never intended on taking a leave of absence despite killing a man.
