The South Dakota Supreme Court upheld the conviction of an Aberdeen man convicted of murder in 2019. The court found the case against 39-year-old Jose Quinones-Rodriguez was conducted appropriately and his conviction in the murder of 25-year-old Tawny Rockwood of Andover was lawful. Rockwood's remains were found in a burnt down Andover apartment. Autopsy results showed Rockwood died from two gunshot wounds. Quinones-Rodriguez was found guilty of murder, arson, commission of a felony while armed and aggravated domestic assault. He was sentenced to life in prison.
