The South Dakota Department of Health announced Wednesday it will begin vaccinating prioritized population groups within its “Group 1D” classification of its vaccination plan this coming Monday.  Currently, frontline healthcare workers and long term care residents are priority when it comes to getting the COVID-19 vaccine.  Due to more vaccine supply and revised regulations from the CDC, those eligible for vaccines will expand to persons 65 or older, high risk patients, persons with two or more under lying medical conditions, teachers and other school staff and funeral service workers.
