The Hub City Hotshots of the Expedition League today announced six signings to the 2019 roster, including four players and two interns. Returning from the 2018 squad is shortstop Daniel Rodriguez.

Returning for the 2019 season are:


Daniel Rodriguez, a junior shortstop from Spring Hill (AL) College. Rodriguez appeared in 34 games with the 2018 Hotshots, hitting .312 with three home runs and 19 RBI to go along with six stolen bases.

New additions to the 2019 roster include:


Andrew Gallegos, a freshman infielder from Olympic (WA) College, and a native of Bremerton, WA.


Bryan Ramirez, a freshman infielder from Olympic (WA) College, and a native of Brigham City, UT.


Hunter Frericks, a junior outfielder from Minnesota State-Mankato and a native of Mankato, MN.
Joining the Hotshots summer staff are the first of 10 projected interns. They are:


John Strasheim, Baseball Operations Intern; Strasheim is a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a native of Milwaukee, WI. His field of study is in Supply Chain Management and he has worked with the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA in player operations.


Joshua Wakefield, Baseball Operations Intern; Wakefield is a junior at Grove City (PA) College and a native of Palmyra, PA. His field of study is Mathematics and he has worked with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts as well as serving on Grove City College’s Activity Board.

Both interns will assist Coach Jacob Jarreau in all areas related to team operations including statistical analysis, scorekeeping, travel needs and day-to-day functions necessary to make the Hotshots successful on the field.
