Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins recently recorded a special "get-well-soon" message to Britton/Hecla junior quarterback Trevor Zuehlke.
In the message posted to Twitter and shared by the Britton/Hecla football account, Cousins wishes Zuehlke the best in his recovery and says they are all praying for him.
Zuehlke suffered a brain bleed during the final game of the regular season on Oct. 18th vs. the Warner Monarchs. He was air lifted to a Sioux Falls Hospital where he would undergo surgery and be placed into a medically induced coma in order to heal. He spent nearly a full month in that coma.
According to his Caringbridge page, Zuehlke has finally woken up and has begun the process of recovery. His family also announced he would be moved to a specialized recovery unit in Lincoln Nebraska.
