Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin announced Monday interim head coach Dean Evason will be kept on as the team's full time head coach.

Evason has a greed with the team on a two-year contract extension which will remove the interim lable.  He took over the team as head coach on February 14th following the firing of Bruce Boudreau.  During his time as head coach he led the Wild to a 8-4-0 record before the COVID-19 pandemic cut the season short.

Evason was named an asisstant with Minnesota in 2018.  Before that he spent six season as the head coach of the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League.
