The NAIA has announced it will postpone its football national championship to the spring in 2021. Usually the football champion is crowned in the fall, but the game has been moved due to COVID-19 concerns. The NAIA council of presidents voted in favor of postponing the championship at its meeting Friday July 31st. NAIA conference are still allowed to compete in the fall and winter if they so choose to. The move is expected to help NAIA institutions to better deal with restrictions at the local and state level due to COVID-19.
