The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday the team has released tight end Kyle Rudolph. Rudolph is 31-years-old and so far has spent his entire 10 year NFL career with Minnesota. He was selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft by Minnesota out of Notre Dame. Its likely Rudolph will sign somewhere else as he appears to be prepared to play another season in the NFL. He and the team had restricted his contract a number of times, but before this offseason Rudolph eluded to the fact he was not willing to do that once again, making his big contract a liability as the team tries to stay under the salary cap.
