Plans are in the works for a major renovation of Frost Arena on the SDSU campus, and it's getting a new name in the process.
University President Barry Dunn announced Monday that Brookings-based First Bank and Trust is donating $20 million dollars toward the project, and will assume naming rights to what will be known as First Bank and Trust Arena.
It's the largest single gift in the history of SDSU.
Athletic Director Justin Sell says the project will include an interactive space that will highlight the history of SDSU athletics, in addition to being the new home of the Jackrabbit Sports Hall of Fame:
The total cost of the renovation is expected to be around $50 million dollars.
The project is pending approval of the South Dakota Board of Regents.
