In a stunning move late Wednesday afternoon, the Minnesota Timberwolves fired general manger Gersson Rosas. Rosas has been the president of basketball operations in Minnesota since 2019. The move comes as the team is just on the cusps of beginning training camp and Wolves media day is scheduled for this coming Monday. According to further reporting by the online sports outlet “The Athletic,” Rosas was fired due to an inappropriate workplace relationship, contributing to a general toxic culture within the organization. Sachin Gupta has been named the interim president of basketball operations to replace Rosas for the time being.
