ESPN reports the Minnesota Timberwolves and center Rudy Gobert have come to terms on a new three year $110 million contract extension. With this move Gobert declines his $46.6 million player option for 2025-26 and will receive a new multi-year deal with Minnesota, allowing the team more salary cap flexibility. New new deal includes a player option for 2027-28 and a trade kicker. Gobert is 32 years old and was named NBA defensive player of the year for the fourth time in his career last year.
