The Minnesota Vikings enter its next game 0-2 and is trying to address problems on the fly.

First the Vikings signed free agent offensive guard Dalton Risner to a one-year $4 million contract. This comes as the offensive line has struggled to move the ball on the ground and injuries continue to pile up. Head coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed right guard Oli Udoh has been placed on the injured reserve and is done for the season.

O’Connell talked about the Risner signing…

It is not known just how soon Risner will play for Minnesota. Risner himself hopes to prove his worth to the team…

The Vikings then traded with the Los Angeles Rams for running back Cam Akers. The deal will see Minnesota send a conditional 2026 six round pick in exchange for Akers and a conditional 2026 7th round pick.

Akers helped the Rams win the 2022 Super Bowl, but since then has been on the outs with the Rams coaching staff.
