The Minnesota Vikings Tuesday waived backup quarterback Kellen Mond. The deal is not official yet as Mond could still be traded before the beginning of the season.
Mond was selected by the Vikings in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft. Since then he has failed to garner much support from the coaching staff.
The Vikings traded for backup quarterback Nick Mullens just last week in an effort to find a more suitable backup for starter Kirk Cousins.
