Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired Luke Toporowski and a conditional sixth-round selection in the 2026 NHL Draft from the Boston Bruins in exchange for left-wing Pat Maroon. Toporowski will report to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Bettendorf, IA, has recorded 17 points (7-10=17) and 32 PIM in 49 games for Providence this season.

Maroon, 35 (4-23-1988), skated in 49 games and recorded 16 points (4-12=16), 60 PIM and 71 hits with Minnesota this season. The 6-foot-3, 234-pound native of St. Louis, Mo., was acquired by Minnesota from the Tampa Bay Lightning on July 2, 2023 in exchange for a seventh-round selection in the 2024 NHL Draft. Maroon underwent back surgery on February 6, and has not appeared in a game since January 21.
