The Minnesota Wild have come to terms with Sammy Walker on a two-year entry-level contract. Walker was a seventh round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2017 NHL entry draft, but opted not to sign with them and in doing so became a free agent Monday. Walker is a Minnesota native who played college hockey at the University of Minnesota where he was the program’s first ever three-time captain. He is 23-years-old and scored a career high 14 goals and 27 points in 39 games his senior season.
