(Kelo.com – Sioux Falls, SD) A woman has died at the Minnehaha County Jail.
The 41-year-old Minnesota woman was found unresponsive in her cell on Wednesday around 2 p.m.
Life saving efforts were performed by both jail staff and paramedics, which were ultimately unsuccessful.
The woman was lodged earlier that day on several charges including: DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Ingestion.
The cause of death will be determined by the County Coroner while the investigation into the death has been handed over to the state Division of Criminal Investigation.
No foul play is suspected.
