MLB owners approve Oakland A’s move to Las Vegas

The Oakland Athletic’s move to Las Vegas has been approved by the Major League Baseball team owners. According to reports the move was approved unanimously. The league has not yet announced the results of the vote. If the move goes through it will be the first team re-location in Major League Baseball since the Montreal Expos relocated to Washington D.C. To become the Nationals. The move was endorsed by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred after the A’s failed to get public support for a new stadium in Oakland. Plans are in place now to build a brand new baseball stadium on the Las Vegas Strip using $380 million in public financing approved by the Nevada state government.
