The name of a Marty man has been released as the person killed in a vehicle-pedestrian accident last week. 42-year-old Richard Hare Jr. was killed when a vehicle struck him while he was walking east on South Dakota Highway 46, east of Marty. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and vehicle involved has not yet been identified by authorities.
