National Weather Service says “prolonged” winter storm to hit Tuesday, Wednesday

A second winter weather event in less than a week is coming for northeast South Dakota and much of the listening area. The storm should hit Tuesday and Wednesday and will be a prolonged snow event according to the National Weather Service.

While we have not hit record amounts of snow this winter, we have doubled what we got last year and are well over the average amount. Fleegel says the amount of snow we still have on the ground during this spring blizzard is unheard of…
