NFL hall of famer Franco Harris passed away Wednesday at the age of 72 years old. Harris play 12 NFL seasons mostly with the Pittsburgh Steelers. During that time he was a Super Bowl champion, offensive rookie of the year in 1972, First team All-pro in 1977, a nine time pro bowler, and had his number 32 with Pittsburgh retired. He is probably best known for his catch which has become known as the “Immaculate Reception” which occurred during the 1972 AFC Divisional playoffs against the Oakland Raiders. Harris passed just days before a jersey retirement ceremony and the 50th anniversary of said catch.
